Sweet 16 day three is here! We are pretty pumped for some good games, good bets, and good friends. Who are you betting on?

Without further ado, Dr. Senkbeil’s breakdown of today’s Sweet 16 Day 3 games:

• GONZAGA (-8.5) XAVIER

  Projected Winner: Gonzaga

  The Zags survived thanks to a WVU chokejob and I thought WVU was the only team that could beat them in that region. They have too much size and their defense is elite. You must play at a fast tempo and force a few turnovers or simply outscore them. Xavier just keeps winning even though they should not statistically. Arizona had them beat but also choked. Xavier is outmatched here, but they have managed to battle 2 better teams so far and win. Gonzaga has not covered against anybody in the entire tournament.  It seems like the sensible play here is Gonzaga to win but stubborn and determined Xavier to cover. Mark Few finally reaches the final 4.

• KANSAS (-7) VS. OREGON

  Projected Winner: Kansas

  The Jayhawks are on fire and up to 3rd in OE now. Guard dominated Oregon matches up well with the elite talent of Kansas so they will hang until the inevitable happens. Kansas is not going to lose if they continue to play at this level! I expect a close game at halftime that gradually gets away from Oregon. Jayhawks by 11.
